About this tool

An open, transparent map of Morocco's electricity and digital infrastructure — built for researchers, developers and policy teams who need a single view of where power is produced, moved and consumed, and where the data-center pipeline is landing.

Every feature carries a source and a source URL. Nothing here is proprietary.

Methodology

Data is hand-curated from Global Energy Monitor, ONEE, OpenStreetMap, Datacentermap.com and operator disclosures. Each GeoJSON feature includes a precision flag (exact or approximate), a source, and the commissioning_year or announcement year.

Transmission-line routing is indicative, traced from ONEE network maps and OSM — not survey-grade. Industrial demand figures are public-source estimates, not audited.

Inspired by Pawel Czyzak's Data Center Siting Tool (transparency-first) and enersite.app (multi-layer spatial analysis).

Known data gaps (v1.0)

No sub-60 kV distribution network.
Transmission lines are approximate corridors, not survey-grade.
Industrial demand is estimated from public disclosures.
Renewable-potential layer (solar/wind irradiation) deferred to v1.1.
No live data feeds — everything is static GeoJSON.
